Aireys Inlet, Victoria, Australia. One of the new-ish fishing piers along the river. Total exposure time was 2 minutes. Total of 4 photos combined in-camera.

Equipment: Polarizing filter and Manfrotto 055ProB tripod/804RC2 head.

Adjustments: Crop, channel mixer, contrast, photo filter (warming) and curves.

Surreal - that's the first thing I think of when I see this. The pier looks completely real, but the water behind it doesn't quite look like water, rather a negative void of lighty space. Interesting, methinks.

Whack a border on it, crop some of the bottom of the pier off, tho. :nod:

Thanks. I was kinda trying for that surreal look, hence the long exposure. I'm hoping to try some more shots like this once I buy the correct filter. I'll have to try your border and crop suggestion.
